Alice in Wonderland Doodles

Just feeling around a bit still. The contest deadline for the Alice in Wonderland theme isn't for ages yet, So I'm mostly exploring with characters and ways of colouring it on photoshop.
So have this as a little update from last week.

This last one does look like I overdid it a bit haha, for it to not be an actual illustration I want to end up using. But it still suffices for portfolio work :P

Some more old Kelpie stuff that I found lying around. Decided to throw it on here anyway.

Some more stuff

Hello!! So here's what I did today!
Conceptdesigns for a contest. The theme is Alice in Wonderland. So naturally this is dear old Ches.

Messing around a bit with different ways of coloring the beast. I like the bottom right the best I think.

Also, I made a banner that is only half visible on here... SIGGH so I'll have to make a new one. But here's the one I did in full anyways. Enjoy!

In july, I gratudated from ArtEZ! Finally I have become a professional illustrator. For my final
project I made a childrensbook about a trollike monster that likes to tease the people that live in his town, and eats dogs for supper.

I wanted to try and make a somewhat scarier story for children then you usually see. In my opinion, there should be way more scary stories. I loved all movies that made me want to look away when I was a little kid. It felt like an adventure watching it. I think it's the same with books. Most books and films for children nowadays have gone soft. With only a few exceptions. I wanted to see how far I could go and wanted to see wether kids would still like the book, I balanced the scariness of it out by making colourfull and slightly humorous illustrations.

I do however think it still needs some work. A few tweaks in the story and then it should be okay.

Anyways, here's a few illustrations from the book!

So I've been working on my portfolio and this is some junk that I doodle inbetween when I don't know what to do, and some old sketches for bigger projects. Thought it was about time to post something again!
